Comprehensive sets of instructions for tuning and adjusting the Raffin type of organ.  These instructions were written by Hal O'Rourke, the American agent for Josef Raffin, and cover every aspect of organ maintenance.  Although written for Raffin organs, the instructions are relevant to almost all roll playing organs where the roll is not contained in a pressure box.  Two sets of instructions are available, as follows:

ELECTRONIC TUNING METER  -  £24.90
Keep your organ in perfect tune with this top quality digital tuning meter.  No musical knowledge required.
This pocket-sized unit runs from a PP3 battery, and has an LCD display incorporating a tuning scale and pitch display.  As each note is played, a built-in microphone picks up the sound of the pipe, and the display shows the pitch of the note being played (C, D, F#, etc.) and whether it is sharp, flat, or exactly in tune.  The tuning scale allows adjustments to be easily made.  The meter covers a range of 7 octaves, so is suitable for large and small organs. There are 12 calibration settings, from A=435 to A=446. Supplied with instructions, and 4 pages of general notes on how to use the device for tuning small street and fair organs.  Battery not supplied.
(Note that this device is for tuning pipe organs. It is not possible for the amateur to tune reed organs.)

RAFFIN 40th ANNIVERSARY CD  -   £11.95
This CD, produced to commemorate Raffin’s 40 years of organ building, contains a variety of music played on different large and small organs.  In addition to the usual ‘happy’ tunes there is some serious music showing the true capabilities of the ‘Concert’ series of 20-note and 31-note organs.  The CD includes a number of pieces played on two organs simultaneously, mostly 31-note pairs, but also a 31-note and 20-note concert organ played together.  Anybody who has seen this performed in public will know what a show-stopper it is.  You’ll wonder how so much music can come from these small hand-turned instruments.

SPECIALLY ARRANGED MUSIC: Due to the large demand for my arrangements, all requests for new tunes are now treated as  suggestions only, to be completed at my discretion as time permits.  Suggestions stand a better chance of being undertaken if a recording or sheet music is made  available, or if more than one customer can be found for the same piece.
